Persistent or stored cookies are kept on computer after closing browser. Websites use them to store data, such as username and password, so that you don't have to log in every time you visit a certain website. Persistent cookies are stored for days, months, and even years.

WHAT ARE FIRST-PARTY COOKIES?

First-party cookies come from websites you view, and can be persistent or temporary. Using them, a website can store information it will use the next time you visit it.

WHAT ARE THIRD-PARTY COOKIES?

Third-party cookies come from other websites' ads (such as pop-ups and other ads) which are found on the website you view. Websites use these cookies to track Internet use for marketing purposes. More detailed information can be found at:
